About Attorney Laura Naylor

I have been involved in the legal industry for over 25 years. First, as a trial court reporter, I participated in thousands of depositions, hearings, and trials. I was fascinated and intrigued by the law and would ask the Judge I was assigned to many questions. My fascination and interest led me to law school in the evening division at New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts while continuing to work a 60-hour week during the day as a court reporter. I am no stranger to hard work and that work ethic has carried over into my law career. I believe the law is a noble profession.

It is a service-oriented profession that aims to serve society. Roscoe Pound captured the essence of this sentiment when he wrote, “Historically, there are three ideas involved in a profession: organization, learning, and a spirit of public service.” In this spirit, I run my race with energy and determination. Attorney Naylor is a 2001 graduate of Notre Dame College, cum laude, and a 2006 graduate of New England School of Law.

My Strengths

In determining one’s strengths, I find it useful to ask colleagues and those who know you best to describe your strengths. Here is the feedback I received: energetic, tenacious, flexible, caring, great listener. I must admit I hear the word “tenacious” a lot! Perhaps the most interesting feedback I received regarding my strengths was being told I am a “custom builder rather than a builder of subdivisions.” I do believe each individual case is unique. My strengths allow me to learn what my client’s expectations are and to map out a clear strategy. Then my tenacity kicks in until we have run to the finish line together.

What I Find the Most Exciting in Legal Practice

I do love the courtroom and find it an honor each time I approach the bench. Each time I enter a courthouse I do so with the utmost respect and reverence. I enjoy taking the specific facts of a case and applying those facts to the law. The result is the ability to articulate with clarity and precision the law and the facts. I suppose only a lawyer would find that exciting!

My Personal Life

My personal life mainly evolves around grown children and siblings. I consider my family my most valued treasure. Other than the fabulous times with my family, I love to be outdoors. I am a bit of a Disney fanatic! I come from a family of entertainers and song writers. I love to play the guitar, sing and write music. I also aspire to participate in more public speaking opportunities.

My Qualifications:

I like to let my competence and skill in court speak for themselves. But many people insist on seeing a traditional list of qualifications. For those people, here are my particulars:

  • Associate Attorney, Ayo & Iken
  • Juris Doctor from New England School of Law
  • Member of the Florida Bar
  • Member of the Massachusetts Bar
  • Former founder of my own legal practice in Massachusetts and Florida, concentrating in the area of family and marital law.
  • Juris Doctor from New England School of Law
  • Undergraduate from Notre Dame College, Cum Laude

Ms. Naylor is an outstanding attorney and I admire her tremendously. She goes above and beyond for her client. She also understands her client, very insightful and is an expert in her field. Truly a professional and marvelous individual. I’m so thankful for her.
